FlixnJoystix Presents: Bobert’s Babblings!
STAR WARS Feels A Disturbance In The Force — On The Internets!

Star WarsHey folks, Bobert here to share with you some pretty cool and hilarious STAR WARS-related goodies (and no I’m not referring to SOMETHING SOMETHING SOMETHING DARK SIDE, the special hour-long FAMILY GUY episode). There’s been a noticeable hike of this stuff as of late, the reasoning of which currently escapes me. But its STAR WARS, which is awesome, so why ask why? First up is probably the coolest of all, revealing just how much love and reverence folks have for the original trilogy. Go beyond the break to check it out…

STAR WARS: Uncut is an online project that has allowed hundreds of regular folks from all over to remake STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE. 15 seconds at a time. The rules are pretty simple: pick a 15-second segment, recreate it however you want with the caveat that no music is used and your own original audio is recorded, make sure it begins and ends as closely as possible to the original scene (gotta try and keep some consistency going right?), and most important of all — Be Creative! The result, as you might have guessed, is a mixed bag of live-action, animation, stop-motion, and everything else in between. It’s currently sitting at 94% complete, so that means you could conceivable join in on the fun. Give the whole thing a look for yourself here and I dare you not to feel a wee bit of geeky giddiness. I included three scenes just so you can have a small taste of what awaits you…

Next up is a fun little mock-up of what would it look like if Facebook existed a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. The best is Luke’s status about rescuing a certain hot princess. Click here to check it out.

And finally, we have an amazingly funny and acidic video review of THE PHANTOM MENACE. What’s great is that not only is it side-achingly funny, with randomly irreverent humor strewn about (there’s even Rape jokes, just for you Metaldy!), its a surprisingly apt and relevant examination of what exactly went wrong with George Lucas’ Prequel Trilogy. Its pretty long, coming to a total of 70 minutes spread across 7-parts on YouTube, so its definitely something you’ll want to aside some time for. I’ve embedded part 1 below, so be sure to seek out the remaining segments if you end up digging what you see…
